I had a situation that caused the engine to run very unsteady at idle and that turned out to be the injectors. Do you have an A/F Guage? Can you tell if you are running very rich or lean at those instances where the car is acting up???

That may be a clue. The injectors I had (550cc's) were running too rich and the car was very unstable at idle, and would often die. I would have to start it over and over and over. Once I changed the injectors to 440's it purred and ran very strong. I am not suggesting you change your injectors, but at least consider that 1 may have gone bad.
I have read a couple of threads that suggest that occassionally an injector can get stuck in the open position, causing an over-rich condition, which will cause the car to buck and have unstable idle. That injector would have to be replaced.

Just a thought.
