wis on its own wont improve octane ratng the only way wis will improve octane is if you run it with methanol. i run 98ron on the street with a water methanol set up and as far as im aware when he methanol fires it improves the fuel upto 103-105ron. knock / det is reduced due to the lower charge temps

i run my wis with 10% methanol and i get a 40bhp gain with it turned on but i can also run much more boost becuase the lowered temps. the water lowers the charge temps and condensies the air the methanol ups the ron and improves your bang all in all top mod pounds for bhp. my wis is ecu controlled and the ecu can adjust the mapping to optimise the effects of the wis
