What is considered excessive oil pressure? I have a GTK-500 and I'm having this problem on my SRT-4. My oil pressure on cold startup is 100+psi and about 60psi when warm. Cruising on the freeway at 2500 RPM my oil pressure sits at 80psi. I have a -3 oil feed line, and am running straight 30 weight oil.
I know you recommend not using a restrictor, so what are my options?[/quote]
In your case I don't know that a restrictor is out of the picture. I will say that is some pretty darn high oil pressure. I know modern cars run higher then normal pressure but even my 350Z never gets above 90 on cold start and is between 30-65 PSI under cruising high load conditions.
