kit for 04 g35 6mt SEDAN
greetings, i've seen a 04 coupe kit installed on an 03 6mt sdean w/two minor alteration(moving headlight ballast slightly and i forgot that 2nd one). i believe he used the ecu relash meant for the coupe on 91 octane as well.............then recently saw a garnet red 04 6mt sedan with kit that required cutting of the front bumper to fit airfliter.....not sure if that kit was for a Z?
Anyhow, is there a kit specific for an 04 g35 6mt sedan? thanks.
i/e mods: kn filter w/z tube, crank pulley, headers, 1/2" plenum spacer, ypipe, z midpipe w/oem muffler.

There is currently not a kit specifically for the G35 sedan. Final fitment should be getting done soon.

The bumper cutting was because a Z specific kit was used. There is not G sedan specific kit YET. Turbonetics does have a G sedan test car on the lot though so look for that in the near future.

I am installing a Z kit on my 05 "revup" sedan right now. I chose the z kit because the 05-06 sedan bumber is not as covered up as the coupe bumper (no need for the fan kit) and I like the idea of running the filter though the front and having it behind the upper grille.
here are the problems with using the Z kit......
1) the replacement A/C line is DIFFERENT. I found this out at the A/C shop after it was too late (we had already evacuated the refrigerant and pulled the factory line.) $130 for the new G35 line and overnight shipping, and back to the A/C shop again.
2) running the filter through the front is a major PITA because you have to do some SERIOUS bending of the A/C lines. go too far and you are looking at some major expense. PLus, you have to cut up the car. NOw that I have done it, it's great. boy, was it nerve racking when the guy went to recharge the A/C!! I was hoping that I didn't crack anything. all is good though!
3) power steering relocation is different. I had to think about it for awhile before I ended up relocating to a similar place as show in the Coupe manual. It is a little different than what they show for the coupe, but, again, all is good.
so far, everything is working out just fine.
It must have taken Turbonetics a long time to develope this kit. there is no room to work under there, and they have managed to run all that piping! wow. great jigging on this kits. everything lines up well!!! I probably have less room since I have heat wrapped al the "hot" pipes.

turbonetics claims that all the piping should be the same for the RevUps, but they need to modify the tube that come up the front of the engine toward the MAF. I wasn't able to bolt that tube to the engine as TN wants. Also, a plug (for the cam Variable cam timing ) and aluminum nub also provide for some trouble! They could easily fix that part with the use of some longer silicone hose or a longer 45* pipe that comes off the throttle body.
Basically, I had to beat the snot out of the pipe with a nice little ball-end hammer!!! I tis on, but I think I really need to get some longer silcone tubing for between the MAF and the TB. because it so so short, the MAF flange is slightly rubbing on the upper (rubber) A/C line.

the problem comes from that I get different answers everytime I speak w/ Turbonetics.
Originally, TN gave me a part number for a revup 350Z tuner kit. when I go to pick up the kit from the dealer, it is the regular tuner kit. I'm like "WTF???" so, I have the dealer call TN right in front of me. They say to him that "oh, it 's a tuner kit.....yeah it is all the same." I say " well,...Okay!"
today, I called Reggie and explained the problems on the Revup kit. He tells me that "...yes TN had to make a bracket for the pipe and also, they had to lengthen a hose."
A similar situationa also happened to me. I called TN to tell them that I was missing the 1/8" NPT tap for the oil pressure. they tell me that it is a normal part. I say "okay," and I head out to get a tap." Well, I ended up buyin a whole tap set becasue I couldn't find just a single 1/8" NPT tap. anyway, now that I doen, I find a little baggy in the kit with an adapter so that you don;t have to tap the oil pressure sensor part of the block. Forst off, why is this not mentioned in the instructions and socondly, why does the tech not know about it??? That would've saved alot time and agravation.
the good news is that reggie said that when the new parts are available, I can get them.. In the mean time, I need to get soem longer silicone hose.
