I need to make around 2000hp
My combo is a sbc with 18 degree heads flow is 390 int. and 280 exh. 434 cid. all parts are very good brand name. I know I need new pistons, cam , ring package.
1. Is there anything else I would need internaly.
2. Is the turbo I have capable of this hp range.
3. Can this turbo be sent back and freshened
4. Do i need to run fuel injections or carb.
5. fuel delivery which one is more tuner friendly ( for a new guy and for what i want to acheive )
6. what are some of the ways I can tell exactly which turbo I have.
7. Does the mounting position of the turbo make a difference in a 1/8th mile car and if so were are a few idea ways to mount it. ( fox body mustang coupe )
I'm sure I will have more questions for you and more thing I will need freshened and upgrade. I am looking forward to working with you at turbonetics in the near future. Thanks

1. Shot answer yes you absolutely will. If your bottom end isn't built to handle that amount of power/boost you will definitely need to look at that. For that much power you might want to run something in the lower compression ratio range. 9.0:1 tops.
2. A 101mm compressor should definitely get you to that power level with a high load of boost and that much displacement.
3. Yes Turbonetics turbos can be rebuilt to ensure all the seals are fresh. Contact Benita at 805-581-0333 and she can get you the details.
4. For that much power I wouldn't go any way but fuel injection if you are going to boost. It will be a lot easier to consistent fuel trims and timing down with it.
5. Fuel injection will require you to spend some time on the dyno tuning but should make it more consistent and reliable.
6. I would need the serial number of the wheel measurements to tell you what it is.
7. The only limiting factor in mounting would be distance from the exhaust ports. The closer the better here.
