Default Need some help (audi s3 (amk)) !!!

hi all, i m a new member of this forum...My name is Theofanis i m from greece (better Hellas) and especially from athens. i drive an Audi S3 (amk 210 hp) and i m thinking of making it a little quicker. so... im here because i know almost nothing about TURBONETICS' turbos and it would be greatfull if you could give me some advice.. although my english sucks, i ll try to explain what i need. so... i need a turbo kit that gives me about 350-400 hp. the fact is that i know - as i told u - almost nothing both for the turbochargers and the peripherlas (exhaust, intercoolers...etc). i would like to know what is the exact name of the turbocharger that is capable to be put to my audi s3 (amk), what is the diametre of the exaust that i have to put, what kind of exaust manifold i have to put and what kind of material(aftermarket or handmade would be better?) , which westgate, if it is better to put an aftermarket intercooler or a handmade... i dont want to change ECU. the reprogramming will get place in greece. i know that i ask many things but i want the best for my car...thats why i need the answers from OUR FORUM! thank you very much for your patience and ur understanding. if you want delete my post and send me private msg to make our communication easier.. THANK U VERY MUCH!!! take care turbolovers.[/quote]

thank you very much for your instant reply. let me tell u smthng about the money. if i buy turbocharger from greece will cost me about 1100$. but this turbocharger is nothing compared with turbonetics. but in greeve turbonetics are very expensive because there is only one who imports these turbochargers. the fact is that i ll go to new york on April so i will be able to take a turbonetics turbocharger from there. Now..i ll write for you rightnow the prices for the peripherals.
1.the exhaust system (a 70mm diametre i think is the best for my car. what do u think?) and the exhaust manifold will cost me about 1400$ for the exhaust (handmade) and 650$ for the manifold(aftermarket. the problem about the manifold is that in greece there arent any reliable manufactorers (handmade i mean) so i may need to buy it from rest of europe or america. but i dont know anything about the price of a handmade exhaust manifold)
2.the intercooler (i dont know if i want to buy a handmade or an aftermarket) will cost me about 800-1200$
3.the sequential blow off valve will cost me about 550$
4.the expenditure for the fuel flow is very very low ( i m sorry but i dont know the exact name of that electromechanical thing that throws the gas into the cylinder) these will cost me about 350$
5. the air filter cost about 650$ (i think that it will be a BMC filter)
Did i forgot smthng? thank u for ur patience

Well the big issue is that Turbonetics does not make a bolt on turbo kit for your car. So you are looking at having a manifold made at the least. Then you also need to look at some of the other things you mentioned such as downpipe, exhaust, injectors, etc. Assuming this can all be done locally based on the displacement of your motor I would look at a T04E 50 trim / Stage 2 or 3 turbine. Or a GT-K 350 as your turbo selection. As far as intercoolers goes Spearco can make anything you want or need if you just give them the dimensions it has to be.

ok. the gt-k 350 seems to be the better solution...the question i have is at first on the price and second if i need any special peripherals. especially i want to know further information about the exhaust manifold, either aftermarket or handmade because as i told you on greece there arent any ``good`` manufactorers. thank u a lot

Well if there aren't any good fabricators out there I would dig around the internet to see if someone makes a bolt on manifold with a T3 turbine flange someone has to.

The best to check on prices is to contact an authorized vendor and get a price quote. I would contact one of the vendors from the banners at the top of the site.
