Default Coilovers

Hey everyone. I'm in the market for some coilovers. I dont want to go crazy with them just some firm and will last. Ive been thinking Tein Basicx but they are only Hieght ajustable. I came across a company called Ksport. They are making coilovers for the tC for the same price a The tein basics but they have Pillowball mounts, camber plate and 30 way ajustable rebound and comp. So for the same price I get alot more. Anyone ever heard of this company? I dont want to buy something thats crap so any info would be great. There are a few guy on the Scion forums that have them and love them....been running them for about 3 months. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Thanks for any info!!!

I've seen mixed reviews of Ksport stuff and my personal experience is that its garbage from what I have seen. The spring rates are too stiff, the valving is WAY off causing the dampning to be piss poor. Although I would always advocate using adjsutable dampning coilovers in this case if its between Tein and Ksport I would go Tein. Although I am not a big fan of twin tube struts either..

Well My brother is running Tein basic on his tC right now and loves them. I was going to go with those but these seem to have so many more features. I cant decide!!! At least with Tein....its Tein. Not made in China.

I have the KSports on my car and I love em' I have heard about several other car platforms saying that they suck but for the Spec V I think they are great. True the spring rates are stiff but you can choose which spring rates you want when you order your coilovers. I personally don't know what they are on mine because I traded my old exhaust for them so I got what ever my buddy DJ ordered from KSport. I have been in a Spec V that had Tein Coilovers both basics and the higher priced ones that are fully adjustable. I thought the cars felt really soft and squishy through turns and over bumps. You could really feel the body roll, where my car is just planted to the road nicely. It's all what you want and are willing to spend eveyone is going to have there own opinions.

I'm getting that kinda feedback everywhere. Some people dont have problems and other say they blow at 3000 miles. My little brother like I said has Tein basic on his tC and they are sweet as hell. I have lowering springs and I figures I could as least stay close on turns. Boy I was wrong. I blink a he's gone. The safe thing would be Teins for me. Plus we already have his setup perfect so getting mine to a good hieght would be easy.

I'm still waiting till tuesday to order....leaning torwards Teins right now.

They dont make those for us Scion guys. Just Tein basic, SS, SS-P. My budget for coilovers is only about 800-850 right now and I need them now. I could wait alittle and get the SS or SS-P but I dont see the need for how I use my car.

Everyone so far has bagged on KSports but if you are gonna go cheap KSports deffinetely over the Megan Racing. Like I said before personally I like my KSports for MY car's platform they are great. Most people on here have Z's and such so they have a WAY bigger aftermarket for suspention and everything so opinions are gonna vary. But for people like you and I with less aftermarket have to settle for less sometimes.
