Default Turbo ID from Serial # ?

Greetings all...Long time owner, new member.. I've been talking to a guy about picking up another Buick GN from him. It has a new(er) looking
Turbonetics Turbo on it. He thinks its a T-66BB. It looks very similar in size to the 66 I have on my car now. Is there a way to ID the Turbo ? The only number on it is what appears to be a serial # that starts with "T" on the back. Would a call to Turbonetics be able to help ?? Thanks in advance.

You can certainly call and have them look it up for you. Or if you prefer post the serial number here and I'll ask one of the sales/support staff to look it up on Monday..

Great ! It's T-24127. Its on the back of the compressor housing(backing plate??). I'm guessing it would be standard ball bearing and not the higher priced Ceramic one, as he thinks it was around 1200 dollars.. Thanks so much..

Just so you guys know if you have a decal on the backing plate ( gold, blue or red ) between the compressor housing and turbine housing that is the serial number. I can look up what turbo that will be just by that number however some of the older turbos will not have that serial and or will not be in the system.

One last question... LOL

You stated its a 60 series w/ BB H66 Comp wheel. Does that mean its a 60 series turbo ? On the T-netics site it shows it as one of their "T" series turbos. Pardon the ignorance, but I've had no issues with with my 60-1 and the other has a PTE Turbo on it, so I'm not up on all the ratings with T-netics..

TIA!

Its a T66 compressor wheel. I don't know why they start the description with 60 series but the H66 gives it away as a T66 compressor.
