Default Buick Grand National question???

Has anyone here done much work with any Grand Nationals? I am asking becaause a friend of mine has one (an 84) and he would like to do alittle to it for some extra ponies without breaking the bank and also keeping it "stock" looking. J ust trying to get some ideals.

Turbonetics actually has done tons of work with GNs. What kind of info are you looking for?

Any ideal on how much power you can get out of a stock GN motor with turbo upgrades? What is the largest turbo you can run on the stock motor? Stuff like that. He is interested but needs alittle push. He's an old school N/A guy that doesnt know anything about F/I.

I would suggest he call Brian in Sales at 805-581-0333 Brian is very familiar with the Grand National stuff and can probably recommend some good stuff for him..

Go to www.turbobuick.com. If his questions aren't answered there they can't be answered anywhere.

In short, though, it's all about combinations of things - not just turbo upgrades. There are some aspects of the stock Turbo Regal arrangement that need addressed long before you upgrade the turbo. Done properly, a good, reliable and totally docile 400-500 HP out of a properly-prepared stock long block is not unusual.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm not sure what he will do. I know if I had a GN I would have to play around with it some. I am a new and big fan of F/I cars.......
