IT BEGINS
Well, after more than a year of havig an undriveable car, im finally nearing the time that my car will be built. As some may know from an earlier post, I was having serious problems with my car basically due to a bogus install/tune problem with a company named Genesis Racing Development in Naperville Il (at one point my car wouldent even start). After being fed up with their crap, i pulled the car in the fall of 07 and brought it to the guys at Sound Performance in Bloomingdale Il. Unfortunately due to the extesive damage GRD caused my internals from hitting knock and such while "diagnosing" my problem, the motor blew shortly after SP got it on the dyno.
In any case, in 2-3 weeks my car will be going back to the shop for a full race engine build and turbo upgrade. Im sticking with Turbonetics despite SP's new TT kit, but going with a T-67 instead of the T-60, a sleeved motor and all the forged internal goodies (and of course bigger injectors,etc). In terms of Engine management, im ditching the UTEC and going with the newly released ProEFI EMS. I was undecided between that and the AEM EMS, however talking to the guys at SP they said its definitely the way to go. Hopefully everything will work out...i have no hp goals after all ive put up with, but I do hope they'll be huge. Ill keep up the posts and pics as the build begins. Wish me luck guys, this is the most money I've ever spent on any build/mod and im terrififed!!!!
