Default Turbo choice

Hey everyone,

I'm curious.
From what I've seen so far (through the web of course) is that its mostly nissan/infiniti who use turbonetics turbo. From the 200sx to the more recent 350Z/G35.

Is there a reason for this. Don't get me wrong, I've seen other vehicles use them but I hardly see an Evo 7, 8 or 9 upgrade to one of these and I know turbonectics is one of the best companies out there.

I'm interested in the GT-K325 I see Evo often use Garrett GT30 for there upgrade..... I compare them (spec for spec) and the turbonetics looks superior.
Is there an evo member out there who use the GT-K or any turbonetics turbo?

I don't know of any Evo guys personally who use them but there are some Eclipse owners on here with GT-K 550s, GT-K 850s, and other units. I think most Evo aftermarket tuning companies build their upgrade kits around Garrett turbos at least from what I have seen so most Evo owners choose Garrett for that reason alone. The Mitsubishi cars I have seen running a Turbonetics turbo have had great numbers and performance so I don't get it either.

Hi Robert,
I understand exactly wht u mean. For instance, I know some Evo racers here in my hometown who use the Garrett and get the downpipe, manifold, oil lines, line filter and extras all at once from Slowboy Racing.

Which outlet is there to get all my turbonetics needs?

Try any of the vendors in the banners at the top of this forum. I personally get my stuff from www.gspec.com though.

This is mainly due to the fact that we do not offer any "direct bolt on" upgrades. As a turbocharger manufacturer, we generally let our direct customers (consisting of tuner/fabrication shops, parts distributors, and retailers) build their own kit by utilizing Turbonetics parts. So many times, our dealers dictate what's available (as a kit) for certain vehicles.

We do have some exciting products planned for the late 2008. Mitsubishi is one of the brands that we may offer several bolt-on and custom setups. Stay tuned!
