Default Failing 50 trim on SRT-4

i bought a 50 trim kit from agp, it came with a DBB garrett 50 trim. the turbo seals failed and poured smoke out of the exhaust within weeks. agp sent me a few different oil feed restrictors that helped but didnt work.. agp replaced it with a turbonetics BB 50 trim..this turbo failed about 1000 miles later, so i sent it to turbonetics for warranty. it showed up about 2months later completely rebuilt. this time it has a little filter inside the oil feed fitting & a tag saying "if the filter is removed warranty will be voided"...so far i have only gone into boost maybe 5 times b/c im affraid of this one messing up to. im waiting for a package from jegs to come in so i can convert my 4 AN feed line to a 3 AN line. i guess i will do some testing on it after i get the 3AN on. is there anything that could possibly be causing this to happen other than to much oil that i might need to take a look at?

don't remove the tiny screen filter..
it is on all my turbonetics stuff

the garrett bearing system is different to turbonetics, and the oil passages go to different points in the bearings...

don't run restricters in turbonetics, -3 or -4 line is fine

You should also make sure you have at least a -10 AN return line with good gravity drain.

It could be excessively high oil pressure but I'd like to know what your oil pressure reading is at WOT to be sure. A -3 AN won't be too much of a drop in volume but it doesn't necessarily mean it won't be enough to keep the bearing housing seals from not leaking oil.

i got the 3AN on today and drove it pretty hard on 15psi and no smoke at all.....the smoking problem doesnt happen while im at WOT, it puffs when i take it out of gear and decel towards a redlight or any other stop....if it idles for a long period of time it will steadily just puff smoke out. the longer it idles the more it smokes...so far so good w/ the 3AN line. i think i might put an oil cooler in between the block and the turbo b/c the problem seems to be worse in the heat
