Default proper oil and 3" exhaust

okay so I am currently using royal purple 5w30 oil and am happy with it,I live in canada,do not winter drive the car and the average spring summer temps are 45 to 95 f .I am considering the ENEOS 0w50 for my next oil change,we do not have the turbonetics oil here and shipping it here is not an option,it would be easier to ship plastic explosives than oil.

Next question,I currently have the stock exhaust from the turbo kit back and I hate the way it sounds,it is way too quiet,I know that a turbo will take up a lot of the exhaust sound,I was looking at the JIC or the APEXi single 3" exhaust or doing a custom mandrel 3" with two tips and no muffler, any thoughts,I don't want it to sound like a coffee can honda but would like a nice low howl on boost.

thanks.

Thanks for the clarification. As for the oil question, any decent synthetic oil should be fine. I don't have any personal experience with Eneos oil but in the past have been happy with Mobile 1 Full Syn. I typically used the 10W-30 kind but 5W-30 should be fine as well. Since I live in San Diego it is never really cold I can get away with that. For the exhaust I do have one additional option for you to consider. I have the Apexi WS2 exhaust on my Z. It was the perfect compliment of quiet when cruising but really opened up and got a nice noise under full boost. At $689 plus shipping it was a good deal. I have had it on my car since even before the turbo kit. It's not a full 3" back but you don't necessarily need a full 3" The WS2 is 2.75" anyways so its close. It also is already a twin tip so there is no need for modifying it after the fact. In regards to EGT I typically see anywhere from 600-850 during cruise low throttle inputs. I would see 1350-1500 under full boost. Of course it depends on where you have the EGT probe. Mine was in the up pipe on the bend right before it goes up to the turbine wheel so yours might be different depending on where you put your probe.

I have some pictures of my exhaust here:

And in my garage here:

Here's a link to one vendor with this exhaust although I would encourage you to contact any of our sponsored vendors to see if they can meet or beat that price:

i run a combination (not mixed) of mobil 1 and turbonetics TS1; whatever is available within my reach i ran eneos 10w30 for a bit too. a case was given to me to try out. it worked fine... not that i would be able to tell just by driving anyway.

i was running the stock exhaust too. now, i have a custom 3" exhaust fabricated mated to a custom muffler.
