Default Turbine Wheel: F1-Series Vs. older "Stage 1/2/3/5"

Another technical innovation information brought to you..... by Turbonetics.

This thread is to SHOW you the difference between the latest F1-Series turbine wheels vs. the non F1-Series (formerly with Stage 1/2/3/5 designation). You may use this information to identify whether your turbine wheel is the latest F1-series or not. Please note that ALL new Turbonetics units are shipping with the F1-series wheel and it's been this way for a while.

Turbonetics F1-Series turbine wheels are made with 713C inconel. A nickel-based super alloy is much stronger and has a higher temperature threshold than most other turbine wheel materials. Turbonetics exclusive F1-series turbine wheels feature a new design with 10-bladed and TALL TIP HEIGHT configuration to maximize the exhaust gas energy and keep back pressures low.

Generally speaking, the F1-series turbine wheels are rated up to the power levels listed below:
  • F1-49 325HP
    F1-54 400HP
    F1-57 475HP
    F1-62 550HP
    F1-65 750HP
    F1-68 1000HP
