my turbo is missing seals
I bought a T3/t4 50trim .63ar turbo from a friend of mine, and i've had it on the car for a few months now and realized i have a good amount of oil in my intercooler piping. So i decited to take the turbo apart. I found 2 things that are missing on the compressor side, i found no seal and no thrust spring on the back plate. Could that be the reason why i have oil in my intercooler piping?
that star looking thing is the thrust spring which was missing and i added it and it was missing that Big O ring that seals the compressor. 2nd pic number 11.

I absolutely think thats the reason you are seeing oil in the intercooler.

Courtesy of Tyler from Turbonetics:
The thrust spring is used when the bronze thrust bearing is not bolted down to the bearing housing. In most 360 deg. thrust bearing turbos the thrust bearing itelf gets bolted by three small screws down to the bearing housing. The dynamic thrust collar rides on a film of oil on the ramps of the thrust bearing and that is what absorbs the compressor side thrust loading.
In a standard 270 deg. bearing turbo the thrust spring is used to keep the thrust bearing in place against the bearing housing.

update: i changed the seals and still having some oil going down the compressor side into the intercooler and from the intercooler it sprays some on my MAF sensor then the oil starts to mess up my afr readings.
