Default My T76 a little too small for my setup?

FINALLY got my Turbo Build done in my Lightning.
Engine is a 5.4L 4 Valve, 8.4:1 CR. Have a T76 Ceramic BB with a .96A/R (T4 flange) Piping is 4" in the cold Side through an Air/Air unit. My motor will spin easily to 7k, but we shut it down early on the break in Dyno runs. I'm wondering why my HP and TQ fall off near 5k. Is this a sign that the Turbo is out of it's efficiency range? The guys with 88mm units seem to keep climbing until redline. Any help is appreciated. She feels GREAT, but I feel like I'm missing a lot of power on the big end.

Dyno on Pump gas and 18 pounds on the Eboost 2 (spike to 19.45 for a second).

It very well could be the turbine housing A/R causing this. An HP76 compressor is good for 1000 HP easy. What size turbine wheel are you running?

Robert I'm not positive on the wheel selection on the exhaust side. I just know it's a .96 A/R

Here's a pic I found on my site when I was cleaning the outside of the housing. Does that help identify it?

I can't tell which wheel it is from that angle no. Did you recently have all the wheels upgraded and just use the old housings? That looks like an older unit. If it has the Q trim turbine wheel that could be your issue.

It IS a Q trim wheel then. I didn't want to post that because that's what I thought the seller had told me, but when looking on your site I couldn't find a T76 with a Q trim option. What wheel would you recommend, or should I just sell it and go 88mm? I assume I'd need to send it back to you guys to get a new wheel put in?

The Q trim wheel was a relatively low production wheel for Turbonetics. A lot of customers had issues making consistent power and holding boost through the rev range. Turbonetics end of lifed it almost immediately after its release. The S trim (now called F1-68 ) replaced it and has been an amazing wheel for those who have one. That is absolutely what I would recommend for your setup. An HP88 compressor wouldn't hurt either but that is a pretty big jump from 76mm. What are your power goals?

Thank you Robert. I built the truck to hold 1000 WHP, but at this point I don't really plan on pushing it much further. What I would like to see though is power in the upper RPM's, especially since I deviated so far from a traditional Lightning setup. If I wanted to peak my HP at 5000, I would have stayed with a 2 Valve engine that came in my truck. Can you point me in the direction of who I need to speak to in order to get a wheel coming, or do I need to send my entire unit back for you guys to do that?

THANK YOU for your help so far.

For ball bearing units the unit has to be rebuilt and rebalanced at Turbonetics. I'll shoot you a PM with some more info.
