need info on turbo please
i have a turbo and wanted some info on it, and would like to know where i could buy a complete rebuild kit if its still possible. here is all the info i got. the compressor wheel measure 2.441 and 3.00 making it a 62 1 comp.? and turbine wheel measured 2.559 and 2.920 old style turbine wheel making it a ptrim i think? currently has 20393-81 96 t4 turbine housing, compressor housing has 4" inlet 2.5" outlet. and i believe it a big shaft, shaft mearsured 5/16" not 1/4", i looked on treadstones site but there big shaft kit did not come with compressor and turbine housing clamps, compressor housing seal, new bolts/hardware. basically looked like it was just new bearings and nesc. seals in the chra. are there still rebuild kits for this turbo and what is the correct model, or type of turbo do i have. thanks for any help
also when disasembling turbo and unbolt everthing trying to remove compressor wheel and remove turbine wheel/shaft. i removed the nut on compressor side, but the shaft wont come out. maybe carbon build up or something got it stuck? any pointers on a way to remove this without damaging anything? i am terrified of damaging shaft and stuff but really would like to put new seals and stuff in to freshen it up. thanks

ok from research ive done its a 62-1 t4 p trim .96a/r journal bearing turbo. what size is it? like 62mm or 65mm? i have been trying to figure that out. how do they come up with that, b/c from i can see it is not just the measurement of wheel, unless was measured somewhere in middle? and does that refer to the turbine or compressor wheel? i also ordered a 20666-3 .70a/r t3 p trim turbine housing to swap out. will this make it a t3/t4 or is a p trim wheel a t4 wheel therefore just making it a t4 turbo with t3 turbine housing?
still no luck on a rebuild kit or compressor wheel off and turbine shaft out. should i not remove if i dont have/and or can't get a rebuild kit for it. turbo was running fine before on my buddy's mustang. just sat for awhile as it was not his daily so i was just wanting to freshen it up and ceramic coat turbine housing and center section.
any help is appreciated, thanks
chris

For how the wheel measurements are done check this thread:
How to identify/measure your Turbonetics unit
As for a rebuild kit provided its not a ceramic ball bearing unit you should be able to order a rebuild kit from a Turbonetics vendor.

yes i got those measuremnts, what i was refering to is when people refer to it as being a "67mm" or "72mm" turbo how do they come up with that # and witch wheel does it refer to the turbine or compressor? i think i saw a "67mm" precission but 67mm was not the measurment of the major or min measurements on the wheel, compressor measured 62mm minor and 76mm major but they called it a "67mm" turbo. you know like in drag racing tru street or whatever how you can't have a turbo over 67mm or so. just wandering what that measurement refers to. and what "size" my turbo is, thanks

That reference should be the inducer diameter of the compressor wheel. When someone says they are restricted to a 62mm or smaller they are talking about the diameter of the inducer on their compressor wheel. The 62-1 compressor wheel runs a 62mm inducer (2.441") and a 3" major (76.2 mm)
