Default 300 Inline 6 EFI /TURBO?

I have a stock (for now) 1990 F150 XLT Lariate 4X4 with a 300 Inline 6 EFI with a manual 5 speed overdrive trany.
It currently runs around 24k rpms in first and 2k in 2,3and 4th and 18k in overdrive at 65mph.
This truck was well taken care of and has had a religeous oil change every 3-5k miles and does not leak a drop of oil..STRONG MOTOR!

I would like some help in the right direction on puting a SMALL turbo unit on it (FOR KOOLNESS) and also so it doesnt take off like a dump truck...This truck is just an in town cruiser!
Thanks for any info!

Well, for that displacement a F1-62 turbine wheel should be fine as a single unit. Compressor wise you could do any number of wheels. Maybe a T04E 60. What is your power goal?

Im not really needing more power per say (no pulls or off roading) but really if more power equals better fuel economy if you keep your foot out of the gas ,then I would have more power for easier take offs and "Umpf" when I need it!

This is a project for me and my 16 year old son...I am a Dissabled Gulf Vet and have missed out on his growing up do to my service and Dissability.

We are going to put on a 6 inch suspension lift and 36 inch tires plus the KOOL sound and extra power of the TURBO for a "IN Town " driver just to go to get to-gethers!
Due to the added "Rolling Mass",The Turbo would also help with better take offs.
Make sence?

Any help on what and how to's would be appreiciated....Any non needed used , disscontinued or good but damaged non sellable parts for donation for a "Not For Sale Ever" truck would be greatly appreciated!

It certainly does make sense. So for that goal something like a T04E 50 trim or 60 trim compressor with an F1-57 or F1-62 turbine wheel would be fine. The TN series is a lower cost model line that has that combination and wouldn't break the bank.
