Turbo info
I have a turbonetics turbo which appears to be a HP-76 but I was wondering if someone could give me the full details of it based off the serial number, T-40498. Thanks.

Thanks! What kind of hp can this turbo support? I am trying to figure out if there is something else with the same downpipe size connection that may support more hp. That way I can upgrade easily if I dont meet my desired horsepower next week on the dyno. Maybe a billet 76 or something?

That turbo should be good for 1000 CHP of air. The F1-68 turbine wheel is the largest T4 turbine that will fit in that housing. Likewise that compressor is the largest one available for the standard T-series housing.

Is it possible to switch the exhaust housing to a 1.15 ar, 3" vband housing on this turbo? If so, how involved is this, what is the part number for the housing and would I see a reduction in back pressure? Thanks for your help.

No there's a 1.32 also:
1.32 T Tangential/ Divided F1-68 mm
Changing to a larger compressor wheel will require sending the unit back in for rebalancing.
