Default Tc 76

I recently purchased a TC 76 P trim .81 AR turbo from one of your dealers for my car. The car is a '98 Camaro with a 6.0 iron block, forged rotating assembly, 11.0:1 compression, LS3 heads and intake, and a custom spec'd cam. The car is 90% street driven with the occasional trip to the dragstrip. I bought the turbo with the intention of doing a rear mount setup. The dealer I bought it from recommended the P trim and .81 AR for a rear mount. I have recently decided to do a front mount instead of a rear mount. I plan to run 7-8 lbs of boost due to my high compression and spray meth. My power goal is 600 rwhp. I want the quickest spool possible and would like power through 6000 rpm. Will the turbo I have work, or do I need to try to sell it and order another one?

Also, I want to keep underhood temps down as much as possible. Would you recommend a turbo blanket or ceramic coating the turbine housing?

Thanks

The P-trim turbine is probavly a little small for a front mounted turbo. You will DEFINITELY spool up quick with that turbine but you might run out of flow at the top end of the power band. You could try going with a larger turbine housing to compensate for it but you might have to eventually go with an F1-68 turbine (S Trim) to get the top end you want. I would get it all mocked up and running with the P trim. If you are severely lacking at the top end switching to a larger A/R turbine housing is relatively simple and far cheaper than a new turbo.
