mid frame 78 1.14 a/r
i have ordered a mid frame 78mm turbo with the 75mm f1 wheel and 1.14 ar... i have yet to get it but have kept in close contact with the dealer so no beef there.
anyway this is going in a street/strip 2004 GTO build 347 LS1.. hoping to make 900+ at the tire and run in the 9s
i really cant find ANY info on the mid frame turbos at all though..
no maps or anything... the dealer i ordered it with is a freind of a good friend so i feel he is helping make the right choice but some tech info would be nice and maybe a map to look at...
i am goin to be askiing alot of this turbo so i want to have all the info i can... (9s in a 4000 lbs street car isnt easy)
thanks for any help.

Turbonetics doesn't currently have compressor maps available for that wheel. I can tell you that is largest set up available in a traditional T4 frame and that turbo is a rock solid performer for 1000+ HP cars

ok thanks Robert..
i hope it works of well.. hoping for 600 on about 12 psi and then something in the 800-900+ range up on high boost in the mid to low 20 psi range... i mean it is just a lil street car....
why dont you see many people using them when you search the web?
Also got an update.. all parts are at turbonetics now getting machined... should ship next week\

Mid frames are relatively new as a unit but the wheels in them have been in use for years in the Y2K and Super T Series lines.

Definitely north of 90 lb/min of air but I don't have the exact peak flow number. My guess would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 to 150 lb/min
