Can u please tell me the specs on this Turbo. T-36815 ty I have it on a ls1 6.0 n am making now power n the shop wants to know the specs ty Tim

T-Series HP76 compressor wheel, standard Bearing, Dry (oil cooled only), dynamic seal, Oncenter .96 A/R housing.

what to do
what can i do the shop says that turbo is an older design and the turbine wheel is to small. I have it on a stock ls1 6.0 with a turbo cam. There saying its making to much back pressure. plz help
|

That should be a 68 mm turbine wheel. Should be plenty big enough. You might consider going to a different or larger turbine housing instead

turbo
can i still use the on center set up n what turbo would u suggest going with. is a on center set up good or does it make a difference. ty for ur help and am just trying to use my same setup n am willing to get a bigger housing and what will need to be changed ty

The On Center housing is fine but it doesn't flow as well as a tangential typically. You can stick with an on center housing just go with a larger A/R

so what do u think i should go with an I will order it from u guys am gunning for 700 hp with a 6.0 ls1, iron block and a speed inc custom turbo cam n 15lbs of boost n 110 octane race fuel ty.It has a dana 60 and a RPM level 5 4l60 trans plz hellp ty

The only larger size in an on center configuration for that turbine is a 1.30 A/R
T4 4-bolt T4 on center 1.3 21609-68

That size is ok to go with just keep in mind the larger you go on A/R the slower the turbo will spool. With as much displacement as you have and the fact you are already getting backpressure from the existing housing it shouldn't be a major issue. Changing out the turbine housing just requires removing the old one and putting on the new one.
