Default Dodge stage 1 tq master blew up...

I have a stage 1 T58 that is over the age for warranty, but only has about 40K on it and the cartridge recently took a dump. The comp wheel is pretty chewed up now.

Is there a ballpark price to rebuild one of these? I dont want to invest much more money in the unit, so I am just curious if I can get this done cheap.

Oh, BTW...this is one of the last ones that said "edge" on them.

Typically a rebuild runs about $250 for a standard rebuild and goes up from there depending on what all has to be replaced. The best case to get an accurate price is to contact Customer Service at 805-581-0333 and get a WA number. They can get you an estimate on rebuilding it. Interesting on the Edge stuff. I haven't seen one of those compressor housings in quite a few years.

Thanks for the info Robert, I will give you guys a call.

I actually purchased 3 of these from Diesel Dynamics when they went out of business. One had a turbonetics housing, the other 2 had edge. The one that says turbonetics on it has ~80K miles and has had a hard life.

The other 2 that say Edge...not so well. One lasted about 10K, the other about 40K. Oddly enough, the one that is still good with 80K is on a 600hp truck, and the 2 that failed were on ~400hp trucks.

Thanks for the info, that sounds like it might be cheap enough to give one of them another shot.

Sorry to hear about the disparity there. At any rate good luck with the rebuild and hope we can get them back into working order for you.
