Old school TO4E?
I was just wondering if you can help me identify what turbo I have. From reading your "identifying what turbo", all I can come up with is that it's ball bearing. Here are some pics of the measurements...
Thanks...

Looks like either a T04E 57 trim or 60 trim.

Any chance that you guys might have a compressor map or any info of both? Would it be the same as the ones currently on your website? Thanks...

Sorry to bring back this thread back from the dead, but I've got a couple more questions hopefully you can answer...
I've attached a pic taken from the drain of the turbo...Does it indicate that my turbo is indeed a ball bearing?
Also, I'm running the turbo on my Galant vr4(4g63t engine). The turbo is currently being fed via the oil filter housing. Would that be too much oil pressure for the turbo? The DSM community says that if I have a ball bearing turbo, it should be ran from the head(unless I have a restrictor) and a journal bearing should be fed from the oil filter housing. If this is true and If I wanted to keep running it from the oil filter housing...which restrictor should I use?
I have been running the car this way for about 6k miles with no problems and I hit full boost around 4k rpm. Should it be sooner since it's a bb? I also don't have any coolant ports on the turbo which is leading me to believe it's not a bb.

It looks like it might be a ball bearing unit yes. There is no need for water cooling on Turbonetics ball bearings so thats not a concern. As for an oil restrictor Turbonetics does not recommend running oil restrictors on units.
