Gtk 650 vs gtk 700
What are the main differences of the two and the expected spool differences? I already have the 650.

The main difference is the 700 uses a billet machined 64mm compressor wheel so it produces more power with faster spool up than the 650 because the billet material allows you to machine a tighter smaller blade profile that is also stronger. The resulting decrease in weight and aerodynamic drag allows the turbo to spool up faster while being more efficient and stronger.

Either way it looks like the 700 does not use a T4 housing with 3": vband so I am a bit stuck with this 650 as the design aspirations changed.
Can the 700 blade be retrofitted into the 650 housing?

The 700 uses a T3 turbine inlet flange but does use a 3" v band discharge.
Billet GT-K 700

I understand that. My question is that can the blade from the 700 be fitted into the 650 considering they both use the same hotside blade.

I don't know if thats possible as the compressor back plate is different. I'll check with the engineering team though.

That would be great. Also can you ask them the weight difference between a 650 and 700 compressor blade and drop me a PM with the info.

From the team at Turbonetics:
It would be a custom turbo. It can be done but it won’t have a coated turbine hsg.

This is understandable - although would there be any benefits to doing this?

Benefits to the custom turbo would be that you would have the configuration you are looking for. Benefits to thermal coating the turbine housing should be pretty obvious. The challenge is that since Turbonetics could not deliver it with the housing coated you would either have to have it coated yourself if that is a requirement or leave it uncoated (as other turbine housings in the non-GT-K units are)
