It's been quite a while, but I'm still interested to see if you guys have made any progress on a gasket for the turbo->downpipe surface. I still have a small leak (even with the new downpipe and turbo), and it's burning a hole in my hood lining.

I used the Cooper 750 degree silicone last time and that was about a month and a half ago and still no leaks. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah, that's what I used, but I still have that damn leak. It's much smaller than it was, but I don't like the way it's burning off my hood lining.

If its burning the headliner I would think it would be a bigger leak. Even when mine was leaking it never burnt anything.

Can I ask you something about your new downpipe? Did you slot the hole out?

The lower moutning bracket on the downpipe. I'll attach pics. Some people have had issues getting it to line up just right and if you pull on the downpipe too much to make it line up it will tweak the flange that mates the the turbine discharge causing a leak. Everyone basically dremelled it out wider so it bolts on without having to pull on the downpipe.

Yeah I've had to do that on both downpipes. I started off with dremels and drill bits, but I eventually bought a bastard cut hand file which worked extremely well. The file has no wear on it, and it cut through the think bracket with ease. I mean it's a bit more muscle than having a power tool, but it was only like $4 and I actually got it done quicker with it, than constantly replacing bits.
Oh, and sorta unrelated, I'm having more and more issues with the turbo kit. Now whenever I get into boost the car lags really bad and makes an extremely loud whooshing noise. At full throttle the boost gauge reads between 5-6 psi, and the car runs extremely rough. I took apart the entire kit and re-seated every charge pipe, vacuum hose, etc... No problems there. What I did notice, however, was that ALL of the bolts on the compressor side of the turbo were so loose that I could turn them by hand, and the bolts leading from the compressor housing to the exhaust housing were loose as well. There was also oil all around the oil feed (where the built in filter is) When I took off the 90 degree adapter going to the filter, there was a pool of oil just sitting in that brass filter, not draining at all. I re-tightened the adapter and the steel oil line, but nothing changed. Still the same overly loud whoosh (much louder than it regularly sounds when spooling up) and the rough engine as soon as the car gets into boost. I had Performance Motorsport do a second check on all the piping and hoses. Once again, no issues there. I really think there is something wrong with the turbo itself. I'm going to give you guys a call when you open on Monday to see what's up.
