And to make matters worse, my tranny is dead and most likely engine fried too. I'm in a heap of trouble.

Yes the warranty will cover all that. I'm sure the jerking the engine did with the trans going out contributed to that alot...

But how do you explainthe engine not starting or even turning over now. I think it seized, or a piston turned. I know its not good, so I am getting ready for a motor build. I already sent for a replacement case and crank.
I just need to assemble everything else. If anyone has any ideas where to get rods and pistons for less than retail let me know.
Or even better, maybe Turbonetics wants tosponsor me in teh rebuild ad provide me with the stage 2 kit. That would be nice...Hint, hint, hint.

Wow. The silence is almost deafening!
Anyway, the engine case I purchased is being shipped to Texas and Import Parts Pro (engine builders) will be sending me a built short block. After that, I re-install the new motor, new tranny and I run it N/A for a while, until someone from up above blesses me with a Turbo. In order to afford the repairs and upgrade, I was forced to dismantle and sell my Turbo. So I guess I'll be kicked off the forum for now.
I'll miss you guys. You've all been great and very supportive. Thank you.

Absolutely not bro. Sorry I didn't reply to your post. Its been pretty hectic at work and there's a lot to keep track of. I'm really sorry to hear you had to sell the kit man really. You won't be kicked off the forum. I'm sure you'll be back strong as ever...

Well, I am still trying to take care of a little business with Turbonetics, that being replacing the 2 pipes pictured above. Once I complete that transaction, no more FI for a while. But at least I will have a built bottom end and a new transmission. So it will be driveable. But Damn, I've been saving that car all winter for the summer and now she's only NA. Damn!
Seeking Sponsorship...Hint, Hint. Stage 2 please. Thanks

Well you will be very saddened to hear that Turbonetics did not cover the replacement of the damaged Intake pipe (pictured above), due to the fact that it was not "BROKEN." It was dented and severly scratched. But according to Turbonetics, it is structurally still useable.
Great, well so much for the hassle free warranty. I should have drilled a hole in it before shipping, but I am just not that shady.
You figure I spend over $5000 for their kit. The design is such that you can't help scratching up the heck out of the intake pipe when installing the center bolt in the front timing cover. Anyway, $278 is what it would cost to replace. No way I'm spending that much. That's why I paid for the warranty.
They did however cover the recirculating pipe which was broken almost in half. Wonderful.
Then to make matters worse, they shipped it to my old address, and eventually was returned to Turbonetics which = more downtime!
Wow. I thought customer service was supposed to be top notch?
I certainly don't feel like I am being treated like someone who wants to buy any more products from Turbonetics. All for a measly $278.

I been through so much BS with turbonetics as well. It's just the type of company they are. For $5000, you WOULD THINK the customer service would be helpful and that they would try to work things out. I intend to give a review to every car community I belong to about my experiences. I should have just bought that SSR kit. for like 2k cheaper. At least I would know what I'm getting for the price range. 5k...and the car is only now operating decent [not with their original setup let me remind you] after 6 months [installed in November]. We replaced basically EVERY part of this turbo kit, including the turbo [what a hassle to wait multiple times]. Blew my motor because the kit was over boosting [we didn't realize until it was too late]. Kit is suppose to be "plug and play" LOL. $1500.00 is the price for a brand new unichip and injectors. Since ours was "used" they only refunded me $500.00 for both parts [since we couldn't even use them! They definitely took advantage of me because they know nobody wants the unichip. That's assholes right there. You know damn well they took those parts and sold them with another kit.

I'm sorry to hear about all that bro. I know Ed was working on this for you. I hope you talked to him at least about the whole deal.
