Default Open Dumps...
I know that jett has one on his car but i was wondering if any one else does?? I know some of the TT claim pretty good gains from this. Just wondering if we could see any gains from it??

I have the gate that comes with the kit dumping to atmos. Haven't gotten it on a dyno to see any change, but its alot louder No noticable change when driving though. Does anyone have any pictures of different wastegates on the kit?

The short answer is no gains will be realized. Turbonetics tried this during testing and found that the car got louder but there was no increase in performance...

Hmmmm... I don't think many see alot of HP from that mod (meaning that when they do that mod they also are doing other stuff that might have contributed more to the increase in HP), just that some believe it helps the flow of the exhaust since you do not create any turbulance. Along with making you a whole lot louder at WOT... Though on some cars with open dumps or dump sometimes the loudness isn't that much louder.

Oh it could get you in trouble since having a open dump will bypass the cat... Though unless the kit already removes the factory cat or cats then you already have to worry about stuff like emissions lol.
