Default Spark Plug Gap?

Hi Everyone,

I have an 05 350z that I purchased TN kit for. It's stumbling at idle, it just doesn't seem right. Like something is wrong. From a previous thread (different topic) Robert said his does the same thing that spark plugs helped a bit. So I've purchased a set of NGK Iridium LFR6AIX-11 these are 1 step colder but my questions is what should the gap be? The car seems fine under boost. According to NGK for every 50hp gained by FI you need to narrow the gap by .004. What are your thoughts I would like to do it right the first time. Stock is .40 I believe. It's kinda hard to explain a sound. It's almost a knock the engine makes and RPM drop a bit. It's not as noticable when cold. It can idle good at times then out of no where it starts missing. Like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrCrrrrrrCrrCrrrrrrrrrrrrr if you will.... I don't know but I don't like it. It sounds to much like a clunk. I've put almost a 1000 miles on it since the install. Thats my only issue other than the stock clutch doesn't do very well with the increase in HP but that's next....

Any input is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Shep

Well you aren't really supposed to gap iridium plugs but I had mine at .039. Actually the more I think about it they came preset from NGK at .039
