Default 05 Spec V intermittent throttle problems

This has happened before....and I had to replace the throttle body and the computer because the nissan tech said the turbo was emmitting oil and cause the throttle body to short and fried the computer...

Anyways it is beginning to do it again but it is intermittent...same as last time...has anyone else had this problem??

You mean limp mode? Does it do this after a WOT full boost run?

If its doing that at idle as well its possible it is the throttle body.. I sincerely doubt any oil in the intake would affect this unless we are talking about several quarts of oil passing through there. I know the QR has had some issues with the throttle body. What year is your car?

If I recall its a flaw with the TPS sensor on the throttle body. You shouldn't need to replace the ECU for this though..

If its the TPS sensor thats failing it would need a new throttle body. Ultimately its a flaw from Nissan and theres not much anyone can do except to replace the throttle body with the latest version if it fails. I thought they fixed this on the 06..
