Default Turbine housings?

I have a factory Nissan turbocharger from an rb25det, 45V3 i believe. My question was if any of the Turbonetics external wastegate turbine houses would fit it? I am wanting to convert it to an external gate, but frown on the idea of welding the flapper shut. Im not quite sure of the housing size, but it is a fairly small one. If you have any info that could point me in the right direction, id appreciate it. Thanks!

If I recall the RB motors come with either a GT25 or GT28 turbocharger stock. If thats what you have I don't believe any of the Turbonetics turbine housings are going to fit as the smallest turbine housing I'm aware of from Turbonetics is a T3 unit. You'll need to get a Garrett T25 or T28 housing without the internal gate although I don't believe they make one. Any reason you don't want to just upgrade the turbo itself?

Well its actually going on a honda project that im in the process of. Its water and oil cooled with a ceramic turbine and i am interested in its fast spooling characteristics. It was dirt cheap and I am strapped for cash, so purchasing a new turbo wouldnt be something I can do anytime soon. Ive never heard anyone using this turbo on a honda application, so Im going to give it a go, and see what kind of results I can get out of it....

In that case your best bet is to either run the internal gate, weld the internal gate, or see if Garrett offers a turbine housing without the internal gate. Sorry.
