Im looking into installing a kit on my 04 Spec V. I've heard about issues with Turbos dying.
I also heard that the kits are now shipping with water-cooled turbos.

What is the issue with the Spec V kit? What are the recent updates to make it reliable.

If I install this properly, will I have serious heat issues with my turbo? Thanks for any information you can give!

It really seems to be a sporadic issue with this. I know of two Turbonetics Spec Vs locally who have not had one single issue since install. Turbonetics has switched to water cooled turbos now to eliminate any issues with seal failure. I drive my Turbonetics powered Z daily and have had no issues in 70k+ miles now...

So does the turbo kit come with the fitting and lines for water cooling?
If not, do you have a separate water line kit?

Do you recommend installing the water lines with the turbo kit?

The turbo kit does not currently come with water lines as the setup has not been finalized by Turbonetics. If you would like to purchase water lines and hook it up yourself you are welcome to and it can only help. Not hooking them up won't hurt though.
