Default can i get enough?????

i have a brand new 60-1 turbo witha .58a/r t4 exhaust housing, it is not the hi-fi version. the motor i have is a built 2.1 vw 4 cylinder. it has a 5 valve turbo head ported with 272 cams. i was wondering if the .58a/r is ok for drag racing i want to make 550 hp at the motor.

p.s i can rev this motor to 9000 and throw alot of boost at it!!

Well this could get tight no doubt about that. The 60-1 compressor has a peak flow rate of 57 lb/min. That means that in a perfect world where everything conformed to theory you should be able to pull 570 CHP out of that compressor with the air flow still falling in the efficiency island. Unfortunately that never happens. I'm assuming you have a T4 P trim turbine? If so the T4 P trim with a .58 should be more then big enough to support your goal. You MIGHT (and thats a VERY BIG might) choke the turbine a bit in the top end if you are pulling to 9000 RPMs but with the T4 P trim and 2.1L of displacement its very unlikely. All that being said if your goal is 550 Crank HP I think this turbo will work well for you. I honestly think you would hit the limit of the compressor before you would hit the limit of the turbine housing A/R. If for some reason it is choking on the top end too much you can always quickly and easily change turbine housings for a larger A/R with no other changes needed. (To do so just switch for the EXACT SAME turbine housing but with a larger A/R)
