Default Water line thread size on bering housing

Hey guys,
I just got my turbo back from service and the Oil Bering Housing was upgraded to a water cooled unit. What size connector is used on the housing for a T3/T04B SV unit? And is there a particular size line that should be run to or from the unit?

I've seen posts about -10AN and -16AN lines. And another about 16mm, 18mm, or 3/8 connectors. I know 3/8 is way to small and 1/2" is to large.

I'm sure I haven't given you guys enough information so I'll try to answer any questions you have. Don't ask the serial number cause I probably can't get to it. I do have the service work order and box from Turbonetics so we can probably cross reference that way.

I saw the kit and it looks good, but I like doing things the hard way. Just kidding.

Yes I am looking at running my own lines but I also want to know what would be installed in my car if I were to purchase one. If the cost is close...say a few tens of dollars...I will probably just buy one.

I also like trying to do things on my own and the water kit for my turbo was no dif. I had $65 in non braded high temp silicone hose I tried to buy banjo bolts with a barb fitting and could not find the write size anywhere and could not get any other fitting combo to work... I have aleast $80 to$90 worth of stuff in the garage that is useless and $135 in a premo wet kit that has everything I (you) need to have an easy instal. goodluck if you opt to do it yourself.

Agreed. For about $100 (cost of the Turbonetics water line kit) its worth it to not have to scoure around looking for the right parts.

And that is the conclusion that I have come to as well. I talked to Steve at Turbonetics this morning and he said that a kit with 16mm was available and should retail for about $115.

Good call... I think the $135 price was shipped to my door. It's a good kit.

Does the direction of water flow matter when installing the water kit? I don't see any indication on the bearing housing. Thanks!

I do not believe it matters at the turbo. It just flows through the bearing housing.
