What is the life exp of a t3/t4 water cooled turbo?
I have had verry little to complain about with my Turbonetics kit or the help I get when I have a problem (crecked down pipe, bad bearing play) Stuff I can deal with under warenty but now my intake tube crackes so I take it off to fix it and T-netics is going to replace it (this makes me happy) but when I get off of work today I am getting ready to reseal/gasket the downpipe and low and behold I take hold of the compressor turbin and there is almost a mm of side to side play in it. Damn! not again. I ordered my kit the end of Jan last year and didnt get it till the end of April and (without a water kit) had to send it back to get rebuilt with under 7k miles on it and here we are again 7k + sits all winter, Oil sending unit is inline with the oil feed line of the turbo so I can keep track of oil feed to the turbo. The water kit is working just fine (you can tell by the antifreeze stains all over the mani and bearing housing left from when I checked it while it was running;-0) I'm not sure what to do with this one. Money is tight. Is it possable that they will warenty it from the rebuild date since the milage is so low? I just have to ask.
