twins are definately easier to package but I like the simplicity of a single
I plan on making this a daily driver with the occasional road coarse trip
Virginia International Raceway is only a short drive and I live
4 miles from work.
a road car needs at the most 600hp but still enough torque to get out of the turns. I suppose this could be accomplished with single or twins.
I will definately do a build thread when its engine time.
I'm sure theres enough knowledge here to steer me in the right direction

So you want 600 HP and twins or single... ok, which motor will you be using?

I have a 5.7l SBC all the good stuff
I'd like to use a mild mecanical flat tappet cam .500 lift and 23X duration
boost should probably start around 2500rpm . no more than 20psi
adding a small amount of lag is not always a bad thing (traction control)
plus it gives you a little better top end. 6500+
the V8 has enough torque down low anyways :P

Well for that motor and a single turbo looking for 600 WHP I'd look at a GT-K 850 or something in a T72 range.. The GT-K 850 would be sweet and spool up pretty quickly....

actually 550-600 at the flywheel is more of what I had in mind
I have a bunch of 283 stuff also . 3" stroke helps the block live
I could kill two birds with one stone by upgrading the twins on the pickup and using one of the 64's with the 4.6. save the other 64 for a spare or other project. I see the 5.0 fords making decent power with the 64.
my only question is the p-trim with a larger housing going to get me at least 6000rpm with the 283? I should reach my target with 15psi
