Problems is that the tranny shook so much that it may have caused a rearward seal to come loose in the engine, which may be the cause of the loss of oil pressure. If my theory holds true, than the knock the mechanic detected is only going to get worse. Especially if I continue to go forced induction.
The input shaft of the tranny is the cause of all of this trouble. I, unfortunately was not blessed with much alternative but to attempt to drive teh car home for 1/2 way to Boston. I got about 20 miles and the tranny was shaking so much that it eventually seized up. The car was smoking under the hood just a bit, and I lost all power, and the car shut down.

Now the car won't start, and the tranny is definitely fried.
Looks like I will definitely need a new tranny and possibly a new engine or a rebuild at the very least.
NOT GOOD. Especially when you're supposed to be getting married in a couple of months.

Well I decided like most of us Mod Crazy Car Buffs to turn this into a positive rather than a negative. I decided that since I was going to have to open the car up - meaning tranny out...I might as well take the engine out and find out what the hell happened.
Since the engine is coming out, I might as well put something better in there...so I purchased a built short block from Kyle in Texas. Wiseco Pistons and Eagle rods, with ARP studs everywhere!

The replacement tranny is already here, and for those who are interested: it is the latest CD009 model which has been determined to be the most problem free. It came in on Friday but I'm not opening up the car until I have everything in hand. Short Block, Trany, and all the parts necessary for the swap. New gaskets, etc...Thinking about a new radiator, 2" AMS model???
If my cams didn't get hurt, I'll swap the JWT's over along with my heads.
