Default Compressor Surge During Spool Up on GT-K 550

I'm getting some compressor surge during spool. It starts at ~3,000 rpm (at least when it becomes audible). At that point I'm running 15 psi. Is there anything I can do other than run less boost down low? I plan to run more boost than this, but it appears this turbo might not be up for the task. Anyone?

Combo as follows:
3.2 I-6 motor
GT-K 550
.82 T3 Turbine

Compressor surge can be the result of several factors. Typically when a compressor is surging that low in the RPM band its the result of one of two things.
1. The compressor and turbine chosen are too large and are literally stalling with not enough exhause gas energy to keep the turbo in front of the surge line.

2. The turbo is producing more air than the motor is set up to handle at that RPM.

Can you share more details on your setup?

I'm going to try and re-run my boost reference lines for the BOV and the WG. I'm thinking maybe the EBC solenoid might be pulsing the pressure in the reference lines and creating a fluttering of the BOV. If that doesn't work I will share more details about the setup. Thanks!
