Default Turbonetics GT-K 500 and 550 questions??

Do anyone know if these are T3/T4 turbo's? I am having a hard time finding good information on these turbos. Including XXlbs/min... Does anyone have the skinny on these...? I was sent on a mission to learn more about turbos in general.. I purchased my TTi X kit with the understanding I would not get the turbo information from TTi or associates other than the turbos are T3/T4 from Turbonetics. Well I got a pamphlet from Turbonetics, but they are very vague about the descriptions on the turbos. They have everything sectioned off. The 60-1's are in one section. The GT-K's are in another section. The 62-1's are in another section. the T3/T4's are in another section and the T3/T04B's and T04E's are in a different section. So for a person that is trying to distinguish what's T3/T4 when all of them say they have an application for a T3 turbine with a T4 compressor wheel and not knowing the exact dimensions of my OWN turbo I get easily lost. Not all the descriptions go into detail on covers and that is another thing that confuses me. I was told my current turbos flow 55lbs/min each. I plan on keeping them until I reach their limits or my drivetrain/motor limits. Once I hit that bump in the road I will decide on next what to do. Rumor is TTi has an upgrade unit now for my current application that flows quite a bit more, but as usual the flow #'s are tight lipped. No biggie.. I will try to max what I have and then go to TTi and say now what's next.. Any information would help. I will try to find the housing dimensions of the TTi X kit turbos.. That should help in determining what fits and what wont fit..

Perhaps I can help a bit. Both the GT-K 500 and 550 are T3/T4 turbos. The GT-K 500 uses an HP61 (new T61/60-1 design) comrpessor wheel and a T3 turbine. The T3 turbine on the 500 is F1 turbine wheel that is comparable in size to the Stage 3 T3 turbine wheel. That is Turbonetics mid-sized T3 turbine. The GT-K 550 uses the same exact compressor section but uses an F1-62 turbine wheel. This turbine is equivalent in size to a T3 Stage 5 turbine which is Turbonetics largest T3 turbine. It is actually larger then an O trim T4 turbine in some regards. For your application I would look at something in the F1-62 (Stage V style F1 turbine) turbine sizes or larger. 350Zs with only 3.5L of displacement uses T3 Stage 3 (non-F1 turbines) with great spool up and quite a bit less displacement. A pair of GT-K 550s would give you a max flow capability somehwere in the 1200 HP range. Here's a sheet that has horsepower number ratings for each GT-K. Please keep in mine there are some inaccuricies in the dimensions on the smaller units but the horsepower ratings are correct:

Very good information!!! I know right now things are a tight fit. I think I either have a 2.75 inlet or a 3.0 inlet. If thats the case the GT-K 500/550 housings would be too big.

That's true however if you need a custom setup with those wheels Turbonetics can make just about any combo of turbocharger you could need. Shoot me the serial numbers of your current units and I can tell you what they are.
