Default GTK VW VR6

I'm about to build up my 1992 Corrado 12v VR6. Going to bore it out to 3.0 liters 262 cams probably big valves as well...........
anyways I like what I see from the GTK series but I'm not sure what turbo would be best suited for my motor. Any suggestions? my goal is to have in the range of 300-350hp, and mabye leave some room to grow.

With a 3 liter motor you are going to spool the smaller turbine wheels pretty fast. If you are looking at GT-K turbos I would look at the GT-K 500 or 550. The GT-K 550 has the larger F1 Stage 5 turbine wheel and can handle more flow than the Stage 3 version. I would say try running the Stage 3 turbine wheel from the GT-K 500 but I'm concerned about exhaust flow at higher engine speeds. My recommendation would be The GT-K 550 but with a smaller A/R turbine housing (.58 or .63). Because you are building the motor though and re-working the valves possibly I would honestly give one of the sales guys a call if you can at 805-581-0333 and they can spec out a turbo to meet your exact goals.
