Newgen Question
I just bought a used Newgen wastegate. It does not look like the valve completely seats, will this be an issue? Is there any adjustment of the closure of the valve? Is there anything I can do? Let me know. Thanks

You should not need to do any adjustment no. The valve should be completely sealed against the outlet port on the wastegate.

it has a gap about half the thickness of a dime just around the visible side when looking in the inlet flange. What can I do?

You could try to disassemble the unit and make sure everything is aligned right. Honestly speaking it should make TOO much of a difference.

It looks like there is an insert in there and that is what it isn't seating on. The insert reminds me of exhaust flange gasket material (donut I think they are called). Let me know if this could be replaced and if you sell this piece. I think if I try to move it, it will just break apart, and probably need a new one. Let me know, thanks

Re: Newgen Question
Yeah that part is available but are you sure it needs to be replaced? If it's sealing on that you are fine

Re: Newgen Question
I did find it, I wrote it down in my notebook at work and then I forgot to post it. Sorry about that. I'll post it up tomorrow
